55th Annual Desert Safari

55th Annual Desert Safari 2017-07-20T11:46:27+00:00

The members and families of Tierra Del Sol would like to invite you to our 55th TDS Desert Safari on March 3 – 5, 2017. Come out and experience the magic and splendor of southern California’s finest wheeling. This year will be another epic event with fantastic vendors onsite, the best raffle on the planet (over $150k in prizes), and yes after last’s years outrageous fireworks show….we are going to do it again. TDS holds the largest weekend event and the proceeds assist us in fighting to keep Public Lands open.

WE HAVE GREAT NEWS!!!
We’re back at Truckhaven!

On Thursday, December 8, the California Fish and Game Commission decided to reject the Center for Biological Diversity’s petition to list the flat-tailed horned lizard as an endangered species. The commission determined that the species is “not at serious risk of extinction or endangerment.”

As a result, the commission’s decision lifts permit restrictions against large-scale organized events that were tentatively in place at Ocotillo Wells State Vehicle Recreation Area pending the petition’s outcome, which forced Tierra Del Sol to move the Desert Safari’s HQ location to different venue last year.

We are happy to announce that we are back at the Truckhaven 4×4 Training Center and there will be fantastic off-roading opporutinities in the area.
