Our 2026 TDS Desert Safari was a success

Our 63rd annual TDS Desert Safari of 2026 came and went, and was a BIG Success in our books! We all made the best of time we could in the unbearable heat. First time it’s been that hot in all the years. But the evenings were enjoyable with amazing sunsets and plenty of driving and watching to be done.
It was easy to lose track of time at night.

It was great seeing everyone and their rigs out there – we loved all the support! And a HUGE THANKS to all the vendors and @tds4x4sd, who showed up – donated some amazing prizes, had great booths with cool gear to look over and smiles for everyone who walked by.

TDS Desert Safari 2026 is HERE

FINALLY!!!

After several months of hard work day in and day out from our Safari committee, 2026 TDS Desert Safari prep has officially started. The fencing is up and our headquarters next to truck Haven 4×4 Training Center is coming along nicely.

For the trail Run:
A high clearance 4 wheel drive vehicle with a 2 speed transfer case is recommended. You should probably have at least 31″ tires too. See you out there.

• Our main designated run will take place on Saturday 3/21 with 5 checkpoints along the way~more details to come.

Challenging Obstacles

• They’ll be hidden gems along the trails and the man-made obstacles at the training center to test your rig on.

Corral Canyon Trail Maintenance Cleanup

Recap of our 12.6.25 Corral Canyon Trail Maintenance Cleanup.
📣 Huge THANKS to everyone who took time out of their weekend to support our bi-annual cleanup at Corral Canyon. This is one of the largest gatherings we have seen in recent years. Preliminary numbers say we had over 100 volunteers. We will keep you updated when the final numbers come in and what your volunteer time equates to for the Cleveland Forest Service.
We hope you had a much fun as we did out on the trails. Thanks again for your help clearing the path so that we all can enjoy these awesome trails year-round.
𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬 to the amazing team from San Diego Off Road Coalition – SDORC for serving up a fresh pancake breakfast with BACON (and lots of it) hash browns and rolls and a savory gravy! We sure are lucky to have such great friends and partners in this off-road community.

TDS4x4 at the Wheel and Water Expo event

It was great to see everyone at the Wheel and Water Expo event by San Diego Off Road Coalition – SDORC! We even received Certificates of Recognition (how nice is that!?).
We were able to collaborate with our partner at Sand Style to have TDS Desert Safari merchandise available and add interested Offroaders to our email list for upcoming Desert Safari 2026 news!
